Slingshot 4218HA
2Gb / 1Gb High Availability Open Fabric Switch
Slingshot 4218HA is an eighteen port high-availability Fabric switch, complete with dual, hot-swappable power supplies and three hot-swappable cooling systems. It is capable of 2Gb and 1Gb speeds via Standard Auto-Negotiation, and supports small form-factor pluggable (SFP) connectors for maximum flexibility. The non-blocking switch architecture is designed based upon the latest Fibre-Channel Fabric and Loop standards. The Slingshot 4218HA supports FSPF routing, and is capable of trunking with other switches to create a highly scalable SAN Fabric. Packaged in a 1U chassis, the Slingshot 4218HA switch can also be managed locally via a serial port or Ethernet connection, and remotely via Telnet or the Open SAN OS applet.
