NetWorker Client for Linux on the Mainframe

IBM zSeries and S/390

NetWorker Client for Linux on the Mainframe (NCLM) provides automated, robust backup and recovery of business-critical Linux data on the IBM zSeries and S/390 mainframes. NCLM delivers the manageability, scalability, and enterprise-class performance of NetWorker to ensure fast, reliable, "lights out" protection for tens to thousands of Linux Virtual Machines (VM) on a single mainframe in DAS or SAN environments. NCLM is a part of Unylogix total information protection solution for data centers to minimize downtime costs, reduce management overhead, and maximize ROI of storage resources.

NCLM integrates with a NetWorker Server and/or NetWorker Storage Node to backup data over the LAN to disk or tape. A central NetWorker administrator GUI serves as the single point of control for all NetWorker activity, including protection of additional Unix, Windows, NetWare and Linux servers in the data center. Automated full, incremental or differential backups of the Linux clients are easily configured using intuitive client resource templates for IBM mainframe that guide setup. Further setup is handled using calendar-based scheduling and advanced media management features standard in NetWorker. Users and administrators can easily browse backup indexes and recover files or entire volumes as required.
