NETWORKING ENVIRONMENTS
Novell NetWare Server Support/Requirements
Each NetstorNW client must have a Novell Netware liscence. If the user already has a
Novell Netware liscence within your environment, they may use the NetstorNW without
purchasing additional liscenses.
Novell Netware Server Support/Requirements
- Servers: One NetWare 5.1 SP5 or later, or 6.0 SP2 or later server required for
user authentication with existing tree via secure LDAP. This NetWare server
will be designated the “Corporate Office” server.
- Directory Services: eDirectory 8.6.2 SP2 or above for LDAP authentication.
- Protocols: NCP over IP
- Security: Authentication from NetStorNW to your existing tree occurs via the

Novell NetWare Corporate Office Server Details
- Included with NetStorNW NAS are updated software packages from Novell to
be installed on an existing NetWare server. These updates are provided by
Novell and are fully supported software components that will not affect normal
server duties.
- The NetWare server will then be identified as the “Corporate Office” server to
the NetStorNW NAS servers in your environment.
- The Corporate Office server allows the NetStorNW to perform secure LDAP
