Unylogix Silver RAID Array - World's most advanced SCSI RAID system

High Performance, Intelligent, SCSI-disk based RAID Array

Extraordinary User Friendly RAID Solution

Whether it is for the networks of stand alone Mac OS System,Windows 95/98, NT, NOVELL, or UNIX based Servers as well as clustered server environments, Unylogix Silver RAID Array offers complete operating system independence and transparence, the ability to scale storage to extraordinarily large capacities, and provide critical reliability by enabling recovery with no loss of data or interruption of user access. The on board Intel i960® RISC microprocessor of Unylogix's Silver RAID Array system executing RAID software code and supporting data caching to achieve high performance.

Conventional Disk Arrays are designed for experienced specialists, to solve complicated long-winded setup procedures, Unylogix came up with a revolutionary idea: -- Innovative Plug and Play RAID -- Using an extremely user friendly firmware which made it painless to hook up Unylogix's Silver RAID Array to any server.

The built-in redundancy tolerate power, cooling, or storage failures without effecting on-line operation: the hot-spare drive is configured for automatic replacement and data reconstruction; hot swap capability of drive, fan and load sharing power supply enable user to easily upgrade and replace components in existing system without re-booting or powering down. Especially the unique circuit design can provide Independent Fault Isolation which can disconnect failure drive to avoid the entire SCSI channel hang-up.

Consistently rated among the leaders in trusted for quality and reliability, all Unylogix RAID Array products have been through comprehensive functional and mechanical tests, to ensure the highest level of product essence in design and manufacturing. Our aim is to deliver exceptional availability, data integrity, system serviceability and performance for Unylogix's RAID user to improve productivity and streamline information flow.

Silver RAID subsystem

Features:

Independent Fault Isolation:

Each hard drive is on a separate data channel – any drive failure will not affect or corrupt data on any another drive.

Fault Tolerance:

Allows the Disk Array to continue to function, even when one of the hard disks has failed.

Auto Rebuild:

When a replacement to a failed disk is installed, Unylogix's Silver RAID Array will provide automatic data rebuild without the need for any commands or functions to be keyed in. The rebuilt function is transparent to the host.

Operating Status:

An LCD status panel displays a comprehensive readout of the operating status and the HDD LED indicators on each HDD tray display the individual HDD status.

Spare:

One of the six hard disk can be used as a hot standby disk. When a hard disk error occurs on one of the RAID drives, this on-line hot spare disk will automatically replace the failed disk drive.

Hot Swap:

You can remove and install the "Hot-Swappable" parts without interrupting data access while Unylogix's Silver RAID Array is functioning. These "Hot Swappable" parts include the Hard Disk Drives, Redundant Power Supply Units and Cooling Fans.

Ultra High Speed:

Interface support for Fast / Wide / Ultra-Wide SCSI host channel (Asynchronous / synchronous), up to 40MB data transfer rate.

Power Supply:

Redundant and load sharing power supply.

Operating Systems:

O/S Independent and transparent, compatible with all major operating systems, including MacOS, Windows 95, Windows NT, Novell, and UNIX

Warranty:

3 years warranty for the case
1 year warranty for the parts
