Prism is a library architecture that shatters the constraints of conventional approaches to storage performance and redefines library system design.
Industry experts regard ATL's new modular Prism architecture as one of the most notable developments in storage automation technology since the company introduced the world's first DLT library in 1994.
Overview
Prism Storage Architecture™ (Prism) provides the platform to easily and cost-effectively adapt data protection resources as technology rapidly changes.
Unique to ATL Tape Libraries P-Series and M-Series libraries, Prism easily improves scalability, availability and manageability of enterprise data storage for corporate IT departments, while protecting critical data and reducing the total cost of library ownership.
Prism options are easily added and are supported by leading industry storage vendors.

1. M-Series libraries include the M1500. P-Series libraries include the P1000, P2000, P3000, and P6000.

4. For a Fibre Channel-based library, the maximum number of virtual partitions is dependent upon the number of tape drives within the library. A SCSI-based library can have up to three virtual partitions.
