DLT and SuperDLT tape libraries / jukeboxes

Advanced DLT and SuperDLT Library Family

There are a variety of DLT and SuperDLT based libraries available - like the RLS series of rackmount libraries which supports AIT, LTO and SuperDLT formats, giving users more technology choices, all the way to the TLS series which capacities scale from 350 GB to over 76 TB.
The TLS-6000 Series economically and reliably automates DLT-based applications, whether backing up a single server or as an integral part of an enterprise-wide storage management solution. Each series answers different needs and provides DLT and SuperDLT tape technology for backup, archive, HSM and storage management applications.

These libraries are supported by all major software suppliers, as well, the units can be set to emulate other tape libraries to ensure compatibility with existing applications and environments.

Belts and pulleys have been eliminated within the mechanisms and have been replaced with brushless DC motors and a closed-loop motion control system to ensure the ultimate in library reliability.

Overview of advanced DLT and SuperDLT tape librairies

    RLS Series

RLS series - DLT RLS series - AIT

  • The RLS series supports SuperDLT cartridge tape formats, as well as AIT and LTO, giving users more technology choices.
The RLS-Series Tape Library family includes one model yielding a capacity of up to 8.6 terabytes.
Depending on the tape drive technology chosen, individual models house up to four tape drives with data transfer rates of nearly 230 gigabytes per hour.

    TLS-6000 Series

    TLS-6000 DLT and SuperDLT series

  • The TLS-6000 DLT family comprises 7 models, providing a broad range of cost-effective solutions. Housing one to eight SuperDLT 320, SDLT 220 or DLT 8000 tape drives and up to 240 tapes, TLS-6000 multi-drive library models readily support concurrent reading and writing .
