The Quad Interface Processor (QIP) cards are the embedded intelligence inside the libraries and the secret ingredient behind SLS. The QIP technology enables customers to mix several native interface connections such as Fibre Channel, Gigabit Ethernet and SCSI in the same library. Multiple QIPs in one library provides you with high redundancy and eliminates a single point of failure.
