Overview
The L20 is the first in the L20/L40/L80 series of tape libraries that deliver asset protection and management to distributed NT, Novell, Linux and UNIX environments.
Easy to Use. Easy to follow installation instructions and configuration set-up from your workstation allows you to install and configure the L20 quickly and efficiently. Worry Free Data Protection. In addition to the fundamental functions of backup, archiving and data interchange, you get peace of mind from knowing that automated backups occur on a regular basis eliminating human error. Simplified Administration. Remote monitoring and management tools allow you to offload administration tasks to a single, centralized location. You can also use your existing system management tools or take advantage of convenient Web-based monitoring. More Control for Less Money. Because tape costs significantly less than disk, tape automation allows you to supplement disk mirroring and enhance your storage strategy within a limited budget. Ease of Upgrade. Extend storage by upgrading to a larger capacity library system as your needs grow. No on-site assembly or sophisticated training required. The upgrade is just as simple as your initial library installation by simply swapping the smaller unit for a larger one. Flexible Platform. Supports multiple tape drive technologies, including LTO Generation 1 and 2, SDLT 220 and 320, DLT 8000. Easy upgrade to fibre channel.
