Overview
The M Series provides modular scalability for companies that need their backup solution to grow with their business.
This modular scalability comes with the greatest density per cubic foot in the enterprise class, requiring very little valuable data center floor space.
With the greatest density per square foot in the enterprise class, the M1500 is a cost effective, flexible backup solution that provides comprehensive fault tolerance for demanding applications.
- Native capacity for SDLT 320 of 3.4TB at 16MB/s transfer rate
- Base-library configurable from zero to two drives and 25 cartridge slots
- Scalable via StackLink from one to 20 drives (up to 1.2TB/hour native performance) and up to 250 cartridge slots (40TB native capacity) all "seen" by the backup software package as a single library
- Supports DLT 8000, SDLT 220, SDLT 320 and LTOTM UltriumTM tape drives
- Barcode reader standard
- Data cartridges in removable magazines providing 100% bulk loading and unloading
- Intuitive GUI control panelSCSI standard with a native fibre library option
- Optional remote monitoring, management and SNMP agent (MC300 option)
- Optional redundant power supplies
- Intermixable scalability with the ATL M2500
- Add, remove and replace modules in a StackLinked configuration while modules stay on-line (pass-thru independent of individual modules)
