Our Thunderbolt products are modular network storage solutions consisting of a NAS device, SPANStor, and a RAID storage subsystem. Other modules and options are available to configure Thunderbolt to meet your specific requirements. These include SAN router/gateway modules, uninterruptible power supplies and a host of performance enhancement and expansion options. High performance, scalable, flexible and simple to install and maintain, Thunderbolt provides high value for all your network data storage and management needs. Thunderbolt is also available with specific external storage on the back end (such as Hitachi, LSI Logic...) to meet your enterprise NAS challenges.

SPANStor is a high-performance, enterprise class NAS operating system. It's packed with the features you expect, such as SNMP, NDMP, SNAPShots, File Quotas, Multi-Protocol Filing Locking, UNICODE support, Dynamic Volume Management, Journaled File System, and e-mail alerts.

Designed for simplicity and ease of use, Thunderbolt can be installed and operational within 10 minutes. You choose your preferred administration interface from a variety of options including Serial, Telnet, and Web Browser. Automatic IP address assignment protocols DHCP, BOOTP and RARP are supported.

High Performance

Whether delivering hundreds of video streams, or Email file requests, Thunderbolt's exceptional data response times and throughput make it ideal for data intensive applications. Optional Gigabit Ethernet support enables each NAS appliance installed in Thunderbolt to deliver data at sustained rates of 60MB/ second and bursts at 92MB/second. Supporting up to ten 180GB 10,000 RPM drives in each 3U RAID storage module, Thunderbolt is ideal for space constrained installations.

Full Redundancy & High-Availability

Thunderbolt NAS appliances are available with a host of redundancy features to increase availability. Features such as redundant hot-plug cooling fans, disk drives, etc... are standard features. Also available is a fully redundant solution with failover capabilities to give you 100% uptime with no single point of failure.

NAS1000 and NAS2000 Series
The NAS1000 and NAS2000 are rack mountable NAS servers that house our award winning SPANStor NAS Software. Both are capable of supporting 1Gb or 2Gb fibre storage systems as well as SCSI Ultra160 and Ultra320 storage systems. SPANStor V5 is capable of managing up to 32 Terabytes of storage. Simply add the storage system of choice to our NAS1000 or NAS2000 and your solution is complete. SPANStor V5 NAS Software is preloaded and ready for you to configure. Configuration is made easy with intuitive menu driven GUI’s.

StorageAppliance 1501 and StorageAppliance 1502
The StorageAppliance 1500 family packs up to 1.44 Terabytes of Network Attached Storage into a 3U rack-mountable chassis. The 1502 model houses eight 160GB hot swappable ATA disk drives that can be configured as RAID 0,1,5, or 10. It also houses a powerful Intel Xeon 2.2GHz CPU and a 160GB hard drive with our award-winning SPANStor V5 NAS Software preinstalled. The 1501 model is equipped with eight 120GB hot swappable ATA disk drives and, of course, the award-winning SPANStor V5 Software is preinstalled on the 9th disk drive. And everything you need to install and configure is included, even the RJ45 Ethernet cable; just plug and play.
