Unylogix offers a variety of tape libraries / tape jukeboxes from different vendors including ("dumb") sequential access tape libraries, also known as autochangers or autoloaders, and ("intelligent") random access tape libraries, also known as tape jukeboxes or tape silos. Advanced features of our units include hot-swap drives, redundant components (fans, power supplies...), mixed media capabilities, fibre channel connectivity, etc... Capacities range from 5 tapes to multi thousands tapes.
We offer tape libraries in the following formats: 4mm, 8mm, Sony AIT (Advanced Intelligent Tape), Super AIT (SAIT), Ecrix VXA, DLT (Digital Linear Tape), SuperDLT (SDLT), LTO Ultrium (Linear Tape Open), Tandem non-stop, IBM 3480/3490/3490E, IBM Magstar 3590, STK 9840, DTF, etc... Unylogix provides VXA-based tape libraries / jukeboxes ranging in size up to 15-slots, with 1 or 2 drives
Unylogix provides DDS-based tape libraries / jukeboxes in 2 main formats as follows:
- Small DDS libraries
- These include various models ranging in
size up to 8 slots. Available with 1 drive.
- Large DDS libraries
- These include various models ranging in
size up to 60 slots. Available with 1 to 4 drives.
We also offer data interchange hardware to allow the transfer of data from one platform to another via tape - for example, a Windows based PC or a Unix system could be used to read tapes which were produced on a mainframe or to write tapes to be read on almost any platform.
